New whisky releases Norway – January 2017

I have started working on my summary of the whisky year 2016, but before I publish that article I have the list of January releases in Norway ready. These whiskies will be made available to buy in Norway on Friday January 13. Hopefully not an unlucky 13! There are 47 new releases this time around, and quite a few interesting ones. I have tried a few of these, but no reviews out yet. I have been down and out with the flu this Christmas, and have not published by far as much as I had planned in December. This does not prevent me from giving my recommendations though.

There is an impressive list of old and exclusive releases from Gordon & MacPhail here. There's also another few Familiy Casks releases from Glenfarclas. I have to draw attention to a couple of special releases for Norway; the new release from Det Norske Brenneri - a new Eiktyrne whisky, and the Highland Park single cask exclusive for Norway. Look out for Kilkerran 12 YO, Glover 18 YO, Arran 18 YO and Talisker 18 YO. An odd one - maybe - is the Motörhead whisky from Mackmyra.
