And here is another release from independent bottler Elixir Distillers, in their Single Malts of Scotland (SMoS) series, Parcel No. 5. This whisky from Mannochmore distillery was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021. It is a vatting of 7 casks.

The Mannochmore 2009 11 YO SMoS goes on sale in Norway on May 31 at NOK 1050 (13173101).

Nose: Coconut oil! Bounty chocolate! Hints of camphor and green herbs.

Taste: Medium to full bodied. Still fairly coconutty (is that a word?), but with added spices. Dry-ish in character.

Finish: Medium long finish. Still dry. Greener now. Vanilla and nuts.

Comment: Coconutty!
