This is the fourth release in the A Night on Earth Series from Macallan. This time around they have collaborated with New Zealand artist and illustrator Bonnie Brown.
Here’s how they describe the cask profile on the official product page:
“[..] matured in a harmonious combination of sherry seasoned American and European oak casks, with sparing inclusion of casks that once held bourbon.”
The Macallan A Night on Earth The First Light is available in Norway at NOK 1670 (19992201).
Nose: Mild, fruity and softly oaky. Almond paste, dried fruits and caramel sauce. Develops into pencil shavings and a caramel milkshake dusted with cinnamon.
Taste: Medium to light bodied. Smooth caramel meets lively spice; white pepper, ginger and cinnamon. A touch of orange zest lifts the profile.
Finish: Medium long. Fresh and vibrant with a base of dried fruits and darker sweetness, layered with lighter tropical fruits and lively citrus.
Comment: Fresh citrus lifts soft caramel.
