This 2022 edition of the Kilkerran 16 YO has been matured in a combination of 70 % ex-bourbon casks and 30 % ex-sherry casks.

This whisky goes on sale in Norway today NOK 1049 (15444501).

Nose: Lovely fruity notes. Rich and aromatic. Subdued notes of wood smoke and soot. With time vanilla, leather and toasted oak

Taste: Medium body. A bit soft and almost watery at first, then it picks up and I find exotic spices, dark chocolate and orchard fruits. Dirty, sooty sugar cubes.

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the same basically - fruity, rich and softly smoky. A pinch of salt in the end.
