Highland Park 2008 12 YO Jekyll’s Choice, 54.5 %

The second Highland Park single cask release bottled exclusively for Dr. Jekyll’s Pub in Oslo. This whisky was distilled 2008, matured in a refill hogshead, and bottled 2020. Limited to 75 bottles, which leads me to think this is just a partial cask.

You can still enjoy this at Dr. Jekyll’s in Oslo.

Nose: Toasted oak with cinnamon, cigar box, earthy vanilla, chocolate milk and figs. Nutty. Mild and sweet heather smoke. Creamy vanilla. With time a touch green.

Taste: Full bodied. Rich, deep and dark. Spicy upfront. Cinnamon, chocolate, cocoa nibs, and vanilla.

Finish: Medium long. White pepper. Toasted oak. Peppery soot. Softly astringent.

Comment: Big, bold and beautiful!
