This edition of the Hazelburn 21 YO has been matured in a mix of 70 % ex-sherry casks and 30 % ex-bourbon casks.

Hazelburn is of course the (mostly) unpeated, triple distilled single malt from Springbank Distillery.

Nose: Brown sugar and rich fruity notes. Caramel and vanilla. Milk chocolate and cocoa nibs - lighter and darker chocolate notes in a sweet, slow dance.

Taste: Soft and of medium body. Delicate. The same sugary and fruity notes that found the nose. White pepper and edgy, burnt caramel.

Finish: Long finish. Even more sugary now - also rich honey. Toasted oak and dried fruits. Vanilla and white pepper.

Comment: Lovely! The darker side of Hazelburn.
