Another cheap blend coming you way. The Glenwood Blended Scotch Whisky is produced by Accelerate Brands. This is the same company that produce Lochlins, which failed to impress me recently.

Here is the official blurb on the product:

"Glenwood Blended Scotch Whisky is made from whiskies from grain and malted barley from different regions of Scotland, and matured in old oak drums for a minimum of 3 years."

So again matured in (Madeira) drums, like Lochlins. Massive casks of 650 litre size.

You can buy the Glenwood Blended Scotch Whisky in Norway at NOK 308 (2872701).

Nose: Light fruitiness mixed with icing sugar and soft maltiness. Not bad at all. Mild perfume, but it works. With time I also detect red berries.

Taste: Skinny, on the verge of malnourished, body. Very bland. Malt, rose water, vanilla, white pepper.

Finish: Short finish. Watery and metallic. Stops short before you've really had a chance to reflect on the finish.

Comments: Hmm.. I am unable to care. Not bad, but not good either.

Score 71/100
