A peated (20 ppm) core range product from Glenturret, matured in a combination of refill American and European oak casks.

Glenturret has announced that it will halt all peated whisky production from 2026, and the two peated core range products, this 10 YO and the 7 YO will be phased out (source: Whisky Advocate).

The Glenturret 10 YO Peat Smoked is available in Norway at NOK 1015 (19921101).

Nose: Peaty and malty with wood smoke and gentle spice. Orchard fruits sit behind the smoky veil, while vanilla and citrus unfold with time.

Taste: Full bodied and assertively peated. Black pepper, dense smoke, ashes and coal dominate, supported by orchard fruits, vanilla and hints of ripe berries.

Finish: Medium long. Fruity notes persist with added brininess and a green edge, fading into dry smoke, ashes and a touch of soot.

Comment: Bold peat with fruity depth.
