This is a hand-filled Distillery Exclusive in the series Cask of Character. Distilled 2014-05-06, matured in a single ex-Pedro Ximénez puncheon (cask #5826), and bottled August 2026.

Nose: A delight to nose. So soft, so fluffy, so cosy. Dried fruits, caramel and toasted oak. With time, the picture becomes clearer, revealing raisins, figs, dark caramel and sun-warmed oak.

Taste: Full bodied. Dry and spicy in character. It really packs a punch (puncheon?), firing on all cylinders. A massive wave of dried fruits and red berries, followed by cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and white pepper.

Finish: Medium to long. It just keeps firing away. Massive, big, bold and beautiful. A sherry bomb that goes off immediately, before peppermint, dark chocolate and cut grass emerge towards the end.
