This is a Travel Retail expression from Highland distillery Glen Garioch. It has been matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

Nose: Oooh, this is a real sherry bomb. Massive notes of sweet, dried fruits - dates, figs, raisins and apricots - the full symphony. I even find notes of dried pineapple. Dark chocolate and fudge. Deep, dark and intense.

Taste: Full bodied and sweetly spicy. Sweet orchard fruits at first, then a wave of the dried fruits I found on the nose. Then red berries. Then mild spices.

Finish: Medium to long finish. More of the same. It does get progressively darker and heavier though. Perhaps a bit too heavy? Super rich marmalade and dark chocolate.

Comment: Mega sherry bomb!
