This is the latest Laphroaig release in Elixir Distillers Elements of Islay series. The youngest component of the Elements of Islay Lp12 was distilled 2014, making this a 6 YO. It has been matured in a combination of two refill and two ex-sherry hogsheads.

The Elements of Islay Lp12 will be available to buy in Norway starting tomorrow, at NOK 850 (13559902).

Nose: Sweet wood smoke. Wood shop and sawdust. Vanilla. Smoky vanilla ice cream. Light and fruity. A delicate nose.

Taste: Full bodied. Creamy vanilla, rich smokiness. Peat and brine.

Finish: Medium long finish. Sweet, smoky and fruity. The iodine appears on the finish.

Comment: What’s not to love about young Laphroaig?
