Matured in a combination of ex-Bordeaux (225L barrique) , ex-Burgundy (114L Feuillette) and ex-Cognac (350L Limousin) casks; all made from French oak. Around 1000 bottles all in all.

Nose: Dried fruits and Christmas-like spices dominate—nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and carnation. Leather and a touch of honey add depth, followed by vanilla, dark caramel, assorted nuts and chocolate as it opens up.
Taste: Full bodied and moderately spicy. The French oak is clearly felt, carrying through the spice mix from the nose. Dry-leaning and oaky, yet balanced, lively and far from astringent.
Finish: Medium to long. Continues with warming spices and well-judged oak, joined by dried fruits, ripe orchard fruits, nuts and a gentle floral note at the end.
Comment: Rich, spiced and consistently rewarding.
