Matured in a single ex-bourbon casks, and released by Gleann Mòr. Distilled September 2013, and bottled January 2022, this is a peated Bunnahabhain.

The Bunnahabhain 2013 8 YO (Gleann Mòr) goes on sale in Norway shortly at NOK 1239 (15922501).

Nose: Earthy and warm notes of exotic spices, toasted oak, ripe orchard fruits and vanilla. A veil of sweet wood smoke envelopes it all like a comfortable blanket.

Taste: Full bodied and with a insistent warmth. Glowing embers, wood smoke, chocolate and creamy vanilla. Earthy cinnamon. Happy, fizzy notes of black and white pepper dance across my tongue.

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the dark chocolate, wood smoke and earthiness. Licorice as well now, again with earthy notes. Rather sweet, but pleasantly so.

Comment: I believe I like this!
