Bruichladdich Black Art 10.1

Bruichladdich Black Art 10.1, 29 YO, 45.1 %

A highly potent potion from the magical island of Islay. The grand wizard Adam is at work again.

The Bruichladdich Black Art 10.1 is still available to buy from the distillery at GBP 395.

Nose: Soft and delicate. Orchard fruits and assorted berries. Grapes and hints of citrus. Chocolate confectionery. With time also darker notes of leather, earthy cinnamon and cigar box. Dusty and borderline fragile. Exotic spices.

Taste: Full bodied yet light and elegant at the same time. Juicy and fruity - ripe orange and red apple. Softly spicy. A fine touch of oakiness on the palate but no astringency at all. No bitterness. Rich chocolate with jam filling.

Finish: Very long finish. Remains surprisingly light, fruity and juicy all the way. More tropical fruits now. A touch green towards the end, and with dusty eucalyptus.

Comment: A very fine whisky indeed. Very fine!
