A very limited edition from Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. Distilled 2007-06-01, matured in an ex-Rhône Wines cask (Syrah) (cask# 924). Bottled 2020-01-15, and yielding a total of 276 bottles.

Nose: Cool, damp, earthy. Autumn walk through a rain soaked forest a bit further south than Norway. Wet leaves, newly turned soil, rhubarb, and earthy cinnamon. Red wine notes make themselves well known here. It feels older than it is in a way.

Taste: Full bodied and warm. Red berries and honey in a odd mix. White pepper, ginger and a touch of oakiness.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Nice warmth all the way. Really big in style now. Lots of fruits - fresh orchard fruits as well as dried fruits. Grapes and hint of mango.
