A special and very limited release from Aurora Spirit, the world’s northernmost distillery. Here’s what they say:

“Fram Whisky is produced with Nordic barley and glacial water from the Lyngen Alps. This is again stored in a small oak barrel (50L), where we have added pieces of wood from Fridjtof Nansen’s polar ship, Fram. Released March 2023, and limited to 100 bottles.”

The Bivrost Fram is, of course, long sold out. I just take please in teasing you. Nah! I’m simply a completist and a nerd.

Nose: Sweet, fruity and malty with dried fruits, earthy vanilla and pencil shavings. Balanced and well-structured, offering both warmth and finesse.

Taste: Full bodied with a spicy edge. Dried fruits, vanilla and floral honey meet toasted oak and a return of the pencil shavings.

Finish: Short. Fruity sweetness and oak lead the way before drying out with black pepper, green herbs and cut grass.

Comment: Cool and fruity.
