A vatting of unpeated and peated whisky that has matured in four different types of casks; ex-sherry. ex-bourbon, ex-Madeira and virgin oak.

You can buy the Benriach The Twenty Five in Norway at NOK 4050 (14047001), starting this coming Thursday.

Nose: Rich and fruity. Hints of smoke and toasted oak. Nuts and red berries. Orchard fruits. With time also leather and caramel.

Taste: Medium body. Rich fruitiness. Then rowan berries and a little drier in character.

Finish: Long finish. Mellow and relaxed. Mixed fruits, leather, and vanilla. Marshmallows burnt on the edges.

Comment: I would gladly suffer one more, and then one more..
