Balvenie 14 YO Week of Peat (2023), 48.3%

For one week per year they produce peated newmake at the Balvenie Distillery. More or less once a year they will also release a peated whisky resulting from these exclusive production batches.

The Balvenie 14 YO Week of Peat will be available in Norway from November 13 at NOK 1430 (11204101).

Nose: Rich and sweet wood smoke rises first, followed by the savoury scent of bacon just hitting the pan. With time, a gentle tropical fruitiness adds brightness.

Taste: Full bodied and deeply sweet. Creamy and cool with fruity tones, soft peat smoke and an intriguing note of smoked watermelon. A touch of spice.

Finish: Medium to long. Cool, smoky and fruity, closing on a refreshing hint of mint.

Comment: Sweet smoke with tropical finesse.
