An Evening of Highland Park Elegance at Dr. Jekyll's Pub

In the heart of Oslo, a gathering of whisky aficionados convened at Dr Jekyll's Pub for an extraordinary exploration of Highland Park's revered single malts. Hosted by none other than the esteemed Martin Markvardsen, Highland Park's Senior Brand Ambassador, this event promised a journey through time with some of the distillery's most celebrated expressions.

The Lineup: A Timeless Journey

The evening's lineup was nothing short of spectacular, ranging from the vibrant 15-year-old to the venerable 1964 45-year-old. At a participation price of 1000 NOK, guests were granted access to a remarkable whisky experience.

Highland Park 15 YO, 44%

This gem was discontinued back in 2016. It used to be matured exclusively in American and European oak ex-sherry casks. Relaunched in 2021 it now also has a some refill casks in the mix. It was also at first relaunced in a ceramic bottle, but is now in available in regular glass bottles.

A great start to the evening, showcasing soft pepper and a medley of tropical fruits. (Score: 86/100)

Highland Park 18 YO (2022), 43%

A symphony of light fruits, vanilla, and a rich, dark sherried character, culminating in a chocolate jam and honey finish. (Score: 88/100)

Highland Park 25 YO (2019), 46%

Matured in sherry seasoned European oak casks.

A marvel with a complex blend of spices, tropical fruits, and a long, peppery finish. (Score: 91/100)

Highland Park 30 YO (2019), 45.2%

An exquisite expression, brimming with vanilla, creamy textures, and a spicy, eucalyptus-laden finish. (Score: 93/100)

Highland Park 1964 45 YO (2009), 42.2%

This old gem was released in 2009 as part of the Orcadian Vintage Series. A small batch release limited to 290 bottles, resulting from two refill, hogsheads (cask #8736 and #8737).

A testament to Highland Park's legacy, featuring a complex nose, a minty, tropical palate, and a long, menthol finish. (Score: 93/100)
