So, we have reached number 67 in the series that is Aberlour A’bunadh. The Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #67 was bottled on 2020-03-16, and has (as always) been matured in Oloroso sherry butts.

You can currently buy the Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #67 in Norway at NOK 828 (4893801). Please beware though, as batches #66 and #67 are sold side by side, and apparently under the same product number and price.

Nose: Cool and relaxed, much like batch #66 started off. Ripe apples as well as dried fruits. Red berries, mild oakiness and hints of white pepper. Quite shy on the nose. With time I detect more complex notes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, cigar box and even some incense.

Taste: Well, I should have seen that coming! Not at all shy on anymore. Throwing all caution to the wind we’re heading straight into a storm of sherry notes, dried fruits, honey and pepper.

Finish: Medium long finish. Pepper, chocolate, dried fruits and notes of coffee. Softly green and mildly bitter on the deathbed.

Comment: Oh, this is a return to form. So much better than Batch #66.
