This particular Aberlour A’bunadh was released in 1999. It was matured in Spanish oak oloroso sherry butts.

Nose: Cool, earthy and sherry-like. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and almond paste. With time it just becomes gorgeous. Christmas pudding and dried fruits. More and more rich, deeper aromas and more sherry sweetness. There's no detectable oakiness. 

Taste: Rich, creamy and full bodied. The same earthy sherry notes that I found on the nose. Vanilla and caramel pudding.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Lovely creamy sherry and vanilla notes all the way. 

Comment: It is not very complex, but very enjoyable. A classic!
