Here is a golden oldie. This Thomas H. Handy Sazerac 2005 / 2011 was matured in #4 charred new white American oak barrels. It was distilled in the Spring of 2005 and bottled in the Fall of 2011.

Nose: Toasted oak, leather, polish, maple syrup and rich honey. Vanilla and milk chocolate. Black and white pepper. With time also ripe, red apples and cherry notes.

Taste: Massive! Caramel, maple syrup and floral honey - all heated up and mixed. Add some fresh vanilla, a few cracked pepper corns and a pinch of cinnamon.

Finish: Medium long finish. Continues as it started. It’s all sugar and spice and everything nice.

Comment: Fiery and sweet!
