I am a big fan of The Irishman Cask Strength. Today I take a closer look at The Irishman 12 YO.
This Irish whiskey has been matured exclusively in 1st fill American oak bourbon barrels. This is a limited release of 6000 bottles per batch. I believe they release one batch per year. The official product page can be found here.

Nose: Soft and malty. Cinnamon and white pepper. Vanilla and apple juice.
Taste: Quite rich for an ABV of 43 %. Fizzy ginger and cinnamon. Black and white pepper. Soft notes of apples and pears. Vanilla.
Finish: Medium long finish. More spicy now and more fizzy-like. Sugary. A touch green in the end.
Comment: Easy drinking and very likeable.
