Here is another product from Diageo’s Special Releases 2021. This vintage 2012 whisky has been matured in oak casks of undisclosed specification.

You can buy the Talisker 8 YO (Special Releases 2021) in Norway at NOK 1100 (13734801).

Nose: Vanilla, mild pepper and soft oakiness. Rather malty as well. Maritime smokiness. Softly medicinal.

Taste: Very rich and full of body. Soot and peppery ashes. A lot more fiery and feisty than we usually get from Talisker. Salty sea breeze.

Finish: Medium to long finish. More smoky and salty on the finish. Remains wonderfully peppery and aggressive. Just the way a young peaty whisky should be.

Comment: I will happily endorse this product in any campaign! Waay better than the 2020 variant.
