Kimerud Distillery is now another year closer to releasing their first single malt whisky. This is a 2 year old single malt spirit.

You can buy the Stiger - Norwegian Single Malt 2 years in Norway at NOK 700 (14768302), starting this coming Thursday.

Nose: Fresh, mild, some oakiness. Caramel and malt. Hints of honey and cut grass. vanilla with time

Taste: Medium body. Big, sweet and fruity character. Honey and ripe apples. Creamy vanilla, white pepper.

Finish: Medium finish. More of the same, but the bourbon cask sweetness is lovely. Clean and distinct.

Comment: Impressive so far. Can’t wait for the whisky.
