Nose (21/25): Fruity, slightly sour citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, stearin, mild waxiness, mild honey and tender oaky notes. A bit strong on the attack, needed some air. With water: Milder and more fruity.

Taste (20/25): Caramel and some perfume. Quite rich. Oranges and orange bitters, with some pepper and raw ginger. With water: Brings out the alcohol more, not for the better.

Finish (21/25): Warm. Orange bitters, oranges, oily, honey, more grapefruit right at the end. The grapefruit actually gets more and more pronounced by each sip. Strange indeed, but not in a bad way. With water: The grapefruit calms down, and in it's place I find more pepper and oranges without the bitterness.

Balance (21/25): This is a good dram, by all means, but it was a bit to much grapefruit for me really. Not the biggest grapefruit fan, I guess.

Score (83/100)
