Note that the Jameson 18 YO fairly recently was relaunched with this much improved ABV of 46 %, compared to the previous 40 % ABV edition. Matured in a combination of American oak and European oak casks.

Nose: The aroma is mild and elusive, with a gentle oakiness setting the stage. Gradually, notes of dried fruits and sherry characteristics come forward, followed by the sweetness of toffee as the whisky opens up.

Taste: The palate offers a medium body, featuring a lively interplay of pepper and dark chocolate. Rich sherry notes envelop the taste buds, accompanied by dark caramel and leather, creating a sophisticated and inviting experience.

Finish: The medium to long finish continues the journey, with more chocolate and leather, while dark berries add a fruity touch. Autumnal notes round out the finish, evoking a cozy and comforting atmosphere.

Comment: A distinguished and refined dram.
