Here is one of many core range products from Highland distillery Loch Lomond. They produce and sell whisky under the brands Loch Lomond, Inchmoan, Inchmurrin and Croftengea (and others).

The Inchmurrin 12 YO is part of their Island Collection, which was launched in 2015. There is no info on the product except for the age.

You can buy the Inchmurrin 12 YO in the UK at around GBP 42.

Nose: Warming and inviting at first sniff. Honey, sun-warmed oak, hints of perfume and polish in the back. With time a little fruity as well - apples and pears.

Taste: Medium body, and above medium sweetness. The sweetness is countered, and I would say almost neutered by a bitter notes of oranges and odd herbs. Some fruitiness here as well, perhaps a little citrus in addition to the apples and pears.

Finish: Medium long finish. A little oaky, floral and bitter-ish there. Certainly an element of perfume towards the end.

Comment: A decent dram, but nothing special, I’d say.
