This is one of the flagship products in the Glenfiddich core range portfolio. The Glenfiddich 18 YO Ancient Reserve has been matured in a mix of 80% ex-bourbon and 20 % ex-sherry casks.

The Glenfiddich 18 YO Ancient Reserve is available in Norway at NOK 900 (3224901). That’s a fairly decent price for an 18 year old whisky in this day and age.

Nose: Ripe apples - green and red. Cinnamon, nutmeg, white pepper, and earthy vanilla. Mild maltiness. Delicate and complex. With time more fruity,

Taste: Medium body. Dark fruits, stone fruit, Christmas spices, earthy vanilla. White pepper and even a soft hint of chili.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Drier now. Fruity Softly herbal. Milk chocolate and red berries.

Comment: Love the nose. The palate lacks a little in complexity to keep up with the nose.
