This is actually my first ever review of a whisky from GlenAllachie Distillery. Huh, how did that happen?

Anyways, this is the GlenAllachie 10 YO Cask Strength Batch 3. Matured in a mix of 1st fill ex-sherry, ex-Oloroso and ex-PX casks. This batch 3 was released in 2019 and is limited to 3500 bottles.

The GlenAllachie 10 YO Cask Strength Batch 3 goes on sale in Norway tomorrow at NOK 879 (11377101), and you can get it in the UK at around GBP 55.

Nose: Lovely notes of juicy dried fruits (yeah, I know - but that’s what springs to mind). Some citrus. Caramel, cinnamon and hints of nuts. Vanilla, green herbs and cut grass in the back.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Caramel, black pepper corns and dried fruits. Deeply fruity.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Malty, creamy and rich all the way. Cinnamon, toasted oak caramel and chocolate.

Comment: Lovely!
