Campbeltown PBS (Cadenhead’s)

Campbeltown PBS (Cadenhead’s), NAS, 56.8 %

This is a blended malt bottled exclusively for the Cadenhead shops. I bought mine at the shop in Edinburgh. I do not recall the price, but it was cheap.

Nose: Orchard fruits and vanilla. There’s a farm nearby - soft and delicate funkiness tickle the nose. Strawberries and pineapple mixed with assorted dried fruits. Whiffs of wood smoke.

Taste: Full bodied and then some. Creamy vanilla and massive, sweet fruitiness. Peppery ashes.

Finish: Medium long finish. Nuts, honey, peppery ashes, creamy vanilla.

Comment: A delightful and mysterious dram.
