Quick review. The Glenturret Triple Wood has been matured in a mix of bourbon casks, American oak sherry casks and European oak sherry casks.

I tasted batch 2. In total 3 batches were released before the product was discontinued last year.

Nose: Wet sawdust, dried fruits and vanilla. Thin caramel sauce and a soft maltiness.

Taste: Raw-ish mouthfeel, and medium body. Indeterminate spices, vanilla and caramel.

Finish: Medium long finish. Minty caramel now, as well as camphor, malt drops and distinct notes of cut grass.

Comments: This is an odd one. Very hard to pin down. The finish surprised me and was far more complex than the nose indicated.
