This batch 8 of the Glengoyne Cask strength was bottled in 2020. It has been matured in a mix of sherry casks and bourbon barrels, as previous batches. The exact mix will vary between batches though.

Nose: Actually a little oaky on the first sniff. Caramel, nuts and wood shop. A bit closed up and shy. With time dried fruits and strawberries.

Taste: Full bodied, sweet and spicy. White pepper, cinnamon and ginger. Strawberries and ripe apples. Marzipan and chocolate.

Finish: Medium long finish. Remains sweet and fruity all the way. The spices have dissipated by now. Buttered toast, unsalted peanuts and coffee.

Comment: The nose is a bit shy, but I like the big and aromatic palate.
