Once upon a time I owned an octave of Glenglassaugh spirit. I ended up selling it before it was time for bottling though. Maybe part of it can be found in this product?

The Glenglassaugh Octaves Classic Batch 2 has been matured in a mix of bourbon, PX, Oloroso and Amontillado octave casks.

The Glenglassaugh Octaves Classic Batch 2 is available in Norway at NOK 910 (12800201).

Nose: Warm notes of coffee and cocoa nibs. Dried fruits. Earthy cinnamon and nutmeg. With time lovely notes of old school candy store with a massive oak wood counter. More and more oranges with time as well as hints of sweet licorice. Impressively complex.

Taste: Medium body. Strawberries and orchard fruits. Tropical fruits and fruity hard candy.

Finish: Medium long finish. Strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Red berries. Cocoa nibs and milk chocolate - also white chocolate and sweet licorice. Softly herbal in the end.

Comment: Old school fun!
