Glenmorangie The TarloganI'll post quick reviews of the three Travel Retail products in the Glenmorangie Legends series. The series consists of The Tarlogan, The Tayne and The Duthac.

The Glenmorangie The Tarlogan is a no age statement release that has been matured in virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks. The name is taken from the Tarlogie Spring, the distillery water source since 1843.

You can buy a 1 litre bottle of the Glenmorangie The Tarlogan at around GBP 98.

Nose: Soft spices, a bit indistinct at first. Vanilla, coconut, mild caramel, and a touch of sawdust. An alcohol nibble. More candy-like with time. Quite sweet. Marshmallows.

Taste: medium body and sweetness. Quite oaky in fact. Sawdust, vanilla, hint of tropical fruits. Grass and hay in the background.

Finish: Medium long. More vanilla now. Drier towards the end. Greener as well. Milk chocolate.

Comments: A fine dram with lots of vanilla notes.

Score (81/100)
