Nose: Loads of berries. Rowanberries, gooseberries, blackcurrant and a light wine like character. Not very sweet at all. Polish, and leather furniture. Hints of oak. With time more spicy and rich.
Taste: Medium body. Quite dry and with a tempered sweetness. Loads of spices, but hard to pinpoint in detail. With time and subsequent sips I detect licorice, white pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Medium long finish. Borderline astringent and then it lets go, and I’m left with a sweet and delicate finish with rich notes of sherry. It remains slightly bitter with notes of berries.
Comments: Another fine, young Norwegian whisky.
