Bergen Whisky and Beer 2018 - The Homecoming!

I have just received great news from Bergen. You might recall the fabulous Whisky-Meet festival in Bergen? It ran for five years up until 2014, and was held at the wonderful Grand Hotel Terminus. This hotel also includes the legendary Terminus Whisky Bar. Back in 2014 Frode Harring, the guy that had ran the Whisky-Meet festival for the hotel, left to start his own whisky bar, The Tasting Room. Then in 2015 Frode opened a new festival, the Bergen (International) Whisky and Beer. But the new festival was not held at the Grand Hotel Terminus. Rumour had it there was bad blood between Frode and his previous employer.

Fast forward to today, and I can reveal that for the 2018 festival, the fun will be brought back to the Grand Hotel Terminus! The hotel is a perfect venue for a whisky festival, in my view, and has been further refurbished since 2014. Frode will still be owning and running the Bergen Whisky and Beer festival, but he will be back at the venue where it all started.

I have a strong feeling this will be a great homecoming! The festivals in 2015-2017 were good, by all means, but the venue (Scandic Bergen City) never came close to the atmosphere at the Grand Hotel Terminus.

See you at Terminus the first weekend of February, 2018!
