Nose (22/25): Candy shop! Light and fresh and fruity! Peaches, a lot of them. Is this really a sherry cask? It must have been used many times then. No heavy sherry notes here. Eucalyptus and ginger.
Taste (20/25): Light and sweet. Different fruits; peaches, honey melon and pears. It turns dry very quickly. A lot of pepper and chilli.
Finish (19/25): Dry! Where did the candy shop go? Thin sugar syrup. Oak and a lot of spices. A hint of metallic taste in the end.
Balance (20/25): I really enjoyed nosing this one. It was a light and easy drinking whisky, although the finish is very dry and spicy. It really leaves your palate warm, just like after having eaten chilli. Fascinating how different the nose and taste are.
