Nose (22/25): Soft and very pronounced maltiness on the nose. Add citrus and my first impression is disclosed to the fullest. Vanilla, caramel and sprinkles of sawdust. Hints of oaky spiciness rounds this off nicely.

Taste (20/25): Soft, with spicy caramel and a slight bitter oakiness.

Finish (21/25): Warm, and quite long finish. Malt, fruit, nuts and oak. Not very sweet, but oily and full-bodied.

Balance (21/25): A malty dram to keep you company on cold winter nights, in front of an open fireplace, while waiting for summer.

Score (84/100)
