This whisky was distilled 2008-05-16, transferred into a cognac cask on November 2018, and bottled 2021-03-29.

You can still buy the Tomatin 2008 12 YO French Collection Cognac Cask in Norway at NOK 1185 (13392501).

Nose: A shy opening. Then caramel sauce - vanilla - and grape juice. Orchard fruits and some oaky spiciness.

Taste: Medium bodied - sugar and spicy all the way. Sweet, tropical fruits honey and vanilla. White pepper and cinnamon.

Finish: Medium long finish. Takes on a bitter side note now - rowan berries and orange marmalade. Green herbs in the end.

Comment: Not quite sure what he cognac cask added here, but it is fairly decent.
