Released very recently as part of the Autumn 2022 package of expressions from independent bottler the Dràm Mòr Group.

Matured in a refill ex-white port hogshead. Limited to 308 bottles. This whisky was distilled at an undisclosed distillery, but rumors has it it is distilled at Glenturret Distillery.

Nose: Wet leaves, wet oak planks and the wet embers of yesterday’s driftwood bonfire. Somewhat sour/bitter in style.

Taste: Medium to full body. Milk chocolate and citrus. Then the same bitter-ish / sour-ish notes that I found on the nose. Rowan berries. Wet embers and soot.

Finish: Medium long finish. Sweeter now. Dirty sugar cubes; hints of soot and engine oil. Pepper and toasted oak.

Comment: It really does grow on me sip by sip. Fun and dirty!
