Reservoir Distillery 2 YO Wheat - batch 1, 47.5 %

This is my first ever review of a whiskey from Reservoir Distillery. They are based in Richmond, Virginia.

This is batch 1, and it is limited to 481 bottles. The mashbill is 100 % wheat.

You can buy the Reservoir Distillery 2 YO Wheat - batch 1 online at around GBP 55.

Nose: Soft and approachable. Warm sand, cinnamon buns, white pepper, vanilla and toasted oak. With time notes of blood orange.

Taste: Well-rounded and full-bodied. White pepper, peppery tonic, sweet liquorice, aniseed and maple syrup.

Finish: Medium long finish. Very much sweet liquorice all the way. Maybe some citrus way back. A nice after burn. Green and minty. Oaky, dry and somewhat perfume-y towards the end.

Comment: A fine, if a tad young, dram. Great if you love liquorice!

Score 84/100
