Here is another limited release from the Nikka owned Yoichi distillery in Japan. The Nikka Yoichi Sherry Wood Finish 2018 was finished in cream sherry butts. This release was limited to 3132 bottles.

Unfortunately the Nikka Yoichi Sherry Wood Finish 2018 is sold out.

Nose: Soft and refined. This one can be admired from afar. Mild dried fruits and caramel pudding. Nuts and hints of chocolate.

Taste: Medium body, and not all that sweet, Vanilla, ginger and dried fruits. More berries with time.

Finish: Medium long finish. Dried fruits, a bit of pepper and assorted spices. Hints of chocolate and camphor.

Comment: As always a complex and easy-to-drink dram from the malt wizards at Nikka.
