I need to start catching up with older Mackmyra bottlings again. So here we go. This is the Mackmyra Sweden Rock 2017. A vintage 2008 whisky, bottled in 2017. This was a limited run of 5000 bottles.

The Mackmyra Sweden Rock 2017 was matured in 1st fill bourbon casks and finished in PX sherry casks. This product was a collaboration with the Sweden Rock Festival.

When launched the Mackmyra Sweden Rock 2017 was sold at SEK 699.

Nose: Mild and tempered. Light fruitiness and floral honey. Icing sugar and coconut oil.

Taste: Medium body and soft mouthfeel. Caramel, white pepper and honey. A relatively mild whisky this.

Finish: Medium long finish. Nuts and white pepper. Dry-ish towards the end. Balanced and nice.
