This is probably the youngest Linkwood I have ever had the fortune to try. Linkwood is a Speyside whisky, and this bottling is from independent bottler Morrison & MacKay Ltd.

This is a limited release, made up from 2 bourbon barrels, yielding a total outturn of 660 bottles.

A few bottles were made available in Norway in May 2019 at NOK 629, and it is still available in the UK at around GBP 40.

Nose: Mild and fruity. Apples and pears, but a distinct citrus layer as well. Almost like a fresh and citrus-y perfume. Hints of herbs, petrol and apple wax.

Taste: Medium to slim body. There is some sweetness here, but not much. Some fruitiness, but hard to pinpoint. Floral notes in the back.

Finish: Short finish. Oranges and oak. Hints of cardboard, green herbs and rose water.

Comment: Underwhelming.
