The Caol Ila 25 YO goes on sale in Norway tomorrow at NOK 1600 (175801).

Nose: Very similar to the Caol Ila 18 YO on the nose. Complex and delicate. Very mild wood smoke, vanilla, and a touch of sweet licorice. Softly green with time - green herbs. Leather and tobacco leaves. A whiff of medicinal notes.

Taste: Full bodied. Fruity with a deep sweetness. Citrus, vanilla, worn leather. Mild spiciness and again mild wood smoke.

Finish: Long finish. Creamy or oily in character now. The green notes from the nose are again apparent on the finish. A touch of salt and iodine.

Comment: A delightful and majestic dram.
