The Blackadder Chimera is a new blended malt from independent bottler Blackadder. The product was launched April 20, 2017. It was bottled in October 2016, with a total outturn of 550 bottles (cask ref. CH 1-2016).

You can buy the Blackadder Chimera in Sweden at SEK 976 (8239701), and in online stores at around € 90.

Nose: Dark milk chocolate, and dust from coffee beans. Soft maltiness. Generally a bit "dusty" in character. A somewhat "earthy" fruitiness. Mild smoke and coal dust (hey, more dust!).

Taste: Full bodied and rich mouthfeel. Light and exotic spices. Hints of smoke, which works like a spice here. Vanilla, milk chocolate and mild fruitiness.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Light chocolate notes still, now mixed with soft notes of roasted coffee beans.

Comments: Not very complex, but a really well-balanced and solid product. It just works!
